Corrigin Pharmacy 1999 to current
Morawa Pharmacy 2011 to current
Beachport Pharmacy 2012 to 2015
I live on our farm 20km east of Corrigin, Western Australia with my husband Gavin and work
full-time at Corrigin Pharmacy. I have two sons, 18 and 20 years old, both went to boarding
school in Perth from Year 7 to Year 12.
I graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in Dec 2015, worked in
Perth, overseas in England then rural WA.
I have a passion for rural pharmacy and believe it is a lovely way to practice pharmacy. It is
very rewarding and a great privilege to know most of your customers, to be part of their
lives. It is a slower paced environment, you get to spend time with your customers, perform
Medschecks, vaccinate, etc.
Challenges are getting pharmacists – locum or permanent, networking with other
pharmacists and getting good quality continuing education.
In recent years it has been much easier to communicate remotely via Zoom, etc.
In my spare time, I am a volunteer Ambulance Officer and Treasurer for St John Corrigin. I
enjoy reading, finance and anything technology related.
